Office building Paris
The office building was subject to extensive renovation work. After several attempts to improve ductwork airtightness and after airtightness testing through a certified expert (QUALIBAT 8721), an average leakage rate of "1.85 times worse than airtightness class A" was determined. At the beginning of the Aeroseal project, the entire ductwork was installed and already connected to the terminals. The suspended ceilings were also partly installed. The terminals were disconnected again for the sealing with Aeroseal. The building was erected according to high energy efficiency standards, aiming at the labels "BREEAM® Very Good" and "HQE bâtiments tertiaires". Against this background, the project supervisor contacted Sogestfa for an additional sealing with Aeroseal, in order to achieve the tendered airtightness class B.
PROJECT
Building: Office building
City: Paris/France
Date: 02 February 2017
AEROSEAL Partner: Sogestfa
Target: Achievement of airtightness class B
Preseal leakage: 616 l/s in total
Postseal leakage: 69 l/s in total
Reduction of leakage: 89 % in average
PROJECT COURSE
During 3 days, from 31 January to 02 February 2017, two injections with Aeroseal were performed, including the preparation and the reconditioning of the ductwork. Aeroeal made it possible to avoid the dismantling of the brick-built riser ducts and other already finished elements. Through this, the other trades weren't affected by the injections with Aeroseal, and the building site could be handed over correctly and in a timely manner. The customer chose Aeroseal for its speed and for its price advantage compared to traditional sealing methods.
CUSTOMER QUOTE
