To reduce energy consumption in an office building in Bern, the air conveyor system had to be sealed reliably and without interfering with office operations.

PROJECT COURSE

In the office building in Bern, seven ducts with diameters ranging from 650mm to 1000mm and a length of 28 meters had to be sealed to bring the building from energy standard X to Y. To ensure uninterrupted office operations, the sealing was carried out within two nights (from Friday to Saturday). The major challenge in sealing with MEZAEROSEAL was the poor accessibility of the outlets on the individual floors. Nevertheless, the leakage rate could be reduced by up to 95 %, thus ensuring an energy-efficient renovation.
