Office building Gentilly
After several attempts to improve ductwork airtightness and after airtightness testing through a certified expert (QUALIBAT 8721), an average leakage rate of 1.5 times worse than airtightness class A was determined. The building was erected according to high energy efficiency standards, aiming at 2 certifications at once:
- Label HQE™ Very good
- BREEAM® Very Good
Against this background, the project supervisor contacted Sogestfa for an additional sealing with Aeroseal, in order to achieve the tendered airtightness class C.

Thanks to the Aeroseal technology, no dismantling of the suspended ceilings and the brick-built riser ducts was necessary. The one-week mission didn't cause any supplementary delay of the building site. The traditional approach of a complete restoration of the ductwork would have taken 8 weeks. The speed of its application gives the Aeroseal technology a decisive advantage compared to traditional approaches, especially when there are time constraints. At the same time, other construction measures are not delayed by the application of Aeroseal. The cost of the sealing with Aeroseal was well below the cost for a traditional approach.
The insurance company "La Mondiale" was the customer. They were very pleased with the achievement of the tendered airtightness class C.
