Installation

Run setup.exe.

Open the downloaded setup file by double-clicking it: For the program update eklimax-v5-update.exe or eklimax-v5-setup.exe for a new installation.

User Account Control

The user account control of Windows asks you if Setup.exe is allowed to set requirements on your PC. Please answer this dialogue with Yes.

Installation requirements

Additional programmes may have to be installed. Please confirm these installations and click on the Install button.

Start of installation

Click on the Next button.

Selection of the installation directory

Select the installation directory for e-klimaX. It is recommended to leave the default setting. This selection is not necessary when updating the programme. The following is installed in the existing e-klimaX folder.

Selecting the launcher menu item

Select the entry for the launcher menu. It is recommended to leave the default setting. This selection is not necessary when updating the program. The following is installed in the existing e-klimaX folder.

Note: Since the installation files are loaded in the background at this point, the setup program may need a few seconds to continue after the selection.

Copying the files

Please wait for the installation of the program files.

Completing the installation

Once the installation is complete, click on the button Finish.

First program start and key entry

e-klimaX as administrator Run e-klimaX as administrator by right-clicking on the e-klimaX icon on your desktop. Then select Run as administrator from the context menu. This step requires (local) administrator rights on the PC. If you do not have administrator rights yourself, Windows will ask you to enter the data of a user with authorisation.

User Account Control

The Windows user account control asks you if eKlimax.exe is allowed to make changes on your PC. Please answer this dialogue with Yes.

Open dialogue "Info about e-klimaX

Open the menu ? and then the menu item Info about e-klimaX.

Open "License key" dialogue

Click on the License Key button.

Key entry

Enter the registration name and license key in the input boxes and then click the OK button.

Restart of e-klimaX

If the registration of the key was successful, the message "Key saved successfully. Close the programme and open e-klimaX again by double-clicking on the e-klimaX symbol. e-klimaX is now ready for use.

Change data source to network drive

The above installation must first be carried out on all client computers. Then copy the local Klimax folder of one client to your shared network drive. The path to the database eklimax2000.mdb is set on each client via ODBC:

64-bit operating system.

Windows subfolder SysWOW64 → odbcad32.exe → System DSN → eKlimax 2000 → Configure... → Select... → Set path to "eKlimax2000.mdb" database

32-bit operating system.

System control → Administration → Data sources ODBC → System DSN → eKlimax 2000 → Configure... → Select... → Set path to "eKlimax2000.mdb" database
