Lux Tower

In the recently constructed multi storey building, a rental area was converted into a restaurant. The existing ventilation unit was replaced. However, with the existing ventilation ducts it was not so easy. In order to prevent odour nuisance, the standard ducts that had been constructed were additionally sealed with the Aeroseal system, as another renovation option was not practical due to accessibility and cost. The ABL and FOL ducts of this system now have the tightness class „C“ and thus meet the requirements regarding tightness.

PROJECT COURSE

The air duct connections on the ventilation unit were closed off with sheet metal plates. Similarly, the new air ducts installed in the restaurant were sealed with sheet metal plates from the existing ducts in the shafts. The sealing unit was installed directly below the ventilation ducts in the area of the bicycle storage and connected to the ventilation ducts above. After sealing was completed with the Aeroseal system, a tightness class „C“ was achieved for these ventilation ducts.
