Simonmetsän Daycare

The HVAC system of Daycare center Simonmetsän in the Finish city of Vantaa was planned to be refurbished. In order to increase the technical and hygienical standard. Before sealing the ducts they have been examined towards air tightness. Manufacturing and assembly shortcomings have been detected, e.g. not sealed drilling holes.

PROJECT COURSE

The sealing process has been performed using each 2 injection points in the supply and the return duct. Using the plenum and the ducts the sealant has been injected into the system. Therefore a leakage reduction between 84 and 90% could be achieved.
