MEZ-TECHNIK GmbH moves to the new headquarter
The MEZ-TECHNIK GmbH moves into the new headquarter in the Swabian Gönningen at the end of September and therewith creates the condition for further growth.
For decades, MEZ-TECHNIK GmbH has been supplying air duct builders and assembly companies from Germany and abroad with high-quality components for round and angled air systems. Because of the strong growth in the last years the present office in Reutlingen got too small. After only one year of construction time, the MEZ-TECHNIK-Team can move into the 10 kilometere away Gönningen, at the end of September. As one of the first companies, the MEZ-TECHNIK GmbH can inaugurate its building, in the newly created industrial area "Bierwiesen".
Focus of the planning was especially the realignment of the logistic. To supply the clients even faster and more extensive, the warehouse capacity was enlarged as well as the operational procedure in the logistic from incoming goods to emplacement and consignment to trasnport was optimized. The present warehouse capacity was more than tripled. There is for example space for over 1.700 palettes in the new warehouse. Especially the labour intenisve consignment of air duct profiles is getting easier prospectively because of the use of a modern crane of the label ABUS. The crane is featured with a magnetic head of the company Truninger. At the consignment the bars are picked up magnetically by the crane and therefore can be moved easily and quickly. The consignment of the palettes of the high bay warehouse is carried out with the help of modern reach trucks. At the creation of the new building MEZ-TECHNIK set a special value on a modern, innovative and energy-saving construction, as an example, the whole building is heated with the help of geothermal energy.
The building project was realised together with the architecture office "Walk Architekten". Two companies worked together as general contractor "Reiner Schädler" from Lichtenstein and "Systembau Knecht" from Metzingen. The individual crafts were accomplished by regional companies.
